Here are a couple of tools to help with searching for apprenticeship vacancies:

• Log into Unifrog and scroll down on the home page to the ‘Apprenticeship’ button.  All students have a Unifrog account which can be accessed with Microsoft Single Sign-On.  This site gives the ability to search by career sector and area.
• Register and search the Find an apprenticeship - GOV.UK.  If a student is looking for an apprenticeship, they should be using this site twice weekly from March if they are in Year 11 and twice weekly from December if they are in Year 13. Or they can set up an account to receive notifications of new postings which meet their search criteria.

It is also worth approaching specific employers directly too, if you want to be really proactive.
