YEAR 6 MOVE UP DAY (WEDNESDAY 3 JULY 2024)
We look forward to receiving your child for their ‘Move Up Day’, which will be an important transition day when Year 6 students will meet their peers, look around the school site and take part in some taster classes. Students will also have their fingerprint scanned for our catering and library systems.
Peterborough City Council have arranged the attached bus transport for the day. If your child’s street is not listed, your child does not have available transport on the day, and you will need to arrange alternative arrangements.
Please be aware that for Wittering, Southorpe, Thornhaugh, and some rural Newborough and Thorney areas, there are no bus transport arrangements for Year 6 children on Wednesday 3 July 2024, due to currently full buses for existing students. Children living in these areas will need to be brought to school via alternative means on this day. The transport arrangements for this day are not arranged by the College. Please direct any transport queries to Peterborough City Council (01733) 317455, however we have been in touch with transport, and this is the final confirmed bus list.
Please find attached a letter providing you with further details for the day, including timings and lunchtime arrangements. Students will be placed in groups for the day, these groups will not necessarily be the Form Groups that will be set for September 2024.
We will shortly send a ‘Kid’s Guide’ to AMVC for further transitional information for your child.
